Merino wool is a natural fiber grown by Merino sheep. What is Merino wool made of? Proteins composed of amino acids and natural compounds. Merino wool is a natural, renewable fiber—meaning one sheep can grow four to five pounds of wool per year. Plus, this fiber has evolved over the years to keep sheep comfortable in h

This soft, shiney, drapey yarn will be your new favourite for any project. The 4-ply and silk adds a little extra durability, not to mention that glorious sheen, so your project holds up better to wear. Its natural warm gray colour adds an extra layer of depth and moodiness to each colourway.

These colours are VERY difficult to capture accurately due to their muted tones and the silk content of the wool.  Silk is highly reflective and adds to the challenge of colour accuracy varying by device.

NOTE: As a result of the hand dying process, colours may vary slightly per hank. For larger projects using more than one hank of yarn per colourway, we highly recommend alternating skeins throughout the project to avoid unwanted tone transitions.  Slight bleeding may still occur.

Take sustainable fashion to the next level with our IMO | GOTS Eco Sock yarn!

This 3-ply, certified organic Merino wool base is eco-processed. This is a non-conventional superwash treatment that does not use chlorine, employs natural salts as an oxidization agent, and uses less resources overall. It is anti-felt and anti-shrink, and is IMO/GOTS certified.

What is IMO? The International Maritime Organization's objectives can be best summed up by its slogan—Safe, secure, and efficient shipping on clean oceans.  The purpose of the IMO is to establish intergovernmental regulations concerning maritime trade, safe shipping, and access to the seas. In addition, it also sets the rules for preventing ocean pollution and accidents.

GOTS is 100% certified Global Organic Textile Standard merino. Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is a world-wide acknowledged environmental branding. GOTS is a guarantee to emphasize the environment and sustainability in all stages of the manufacturing process. Requirements include the handling of waste water and energy usage, along with social ethics and worker related aspects of the manufacturing process. The final yarn's quality is also inspected.

Dye Lots: Where you see the same colour listed twice but with a different 'L#' suffix, this is indicating there are 2 dye lots in stock.  For example 'Linen-L11' and 'Linen-L12' are the same colour but from different dye lots. For colours with no 'L#' suffix, this indicates there are no dye lots due to the hand-dyed nature of the yarn.

Feliz is a very special yarn that is a blend of superwash merino with modal, an ecological, manufactured cellulose fiber derived from eucalyptus.  Feliz has lovely drape without sacrificing wool's bounce.  The resulting fabric is fresh and lustrious, with great drape and stitch definition. The popular Manos del Uruguay space-dyed colours take on a heathery look that blends the hues beautifully in this yarn.

Milo is a luxurious blend of Merino Wool and Linen. The unique nature of the linen gives Milo a rustic yet elegant look, with its raw fibers and almost metallic shine.  Manos uses unbleached linen and non superwash merino for a more natural option.

We love the drape of the finished fabric and find it perfect for season spanning projects such as kerchiefs, shawls and lightweight tops.

Smut Fingering is a unique fingering weight tweed yarn that is hand-dyed in Calgary, AB, Canada.

Donegal (the nubby ply that makes the tweed) is a unique yarn with a nod to the original Irish Tweed woven cloth of the same name. Built on the idea of a neutral super wash merino background with bits of color woven into the plies, the end effect will be a yarn with both tactile and visual texture.

NOTE: Even within the same dye lot, each skein is unique as a result of the hand dying process. Due to the nature of hand-dyed yarn, colours may vary slightly per hank. For larger projects using more than one hank of yarn per colourway, we highly recommend alternating skeins throughout the project to avoid unwanted tone transitions.  Slight bleeding may still occur.
