Another Bad news; Barcelona facing serious blockade trying to sell Memphis Depay; Here is the issue.
Barcelona is getting huge interest from clubs to sell the Dutchman but the Blaugrana have been more hopeful of getting rid of Depay due to the interest he is generating.
With Tottenham having been credited with major interest it is looking more likely that his deal will pull through. However, recently it is Juventus who have looked the most likely to sign the 28-year-old from Barcelona.
The Bianconeri have held talks with the Catalan giants as well as the forward’s camp over a possible deal and are ready to hand the Netherlands striker a two-year contract as well.
But, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, there are growing concerns within the Juventus camp with regard to their pursuit of Depay. The Italian heavyweights believe that the deal is getting complicated, which is why they are ready to explore other possible avenues.
The complications that the report talks about could be the standoff between Depay and Barça over the manner of his exit. The striker is keen on leaving the club as a free agent and wants the Blaugrana to terminate his contract and let him depart for no fees.
Barça, on the other hand, are unwilling to do so and are demanding €20 million to let go of the former Manchester United ace. Talks are ongoing between Depay’s lawyers and the club to find a mutually beneficial arrangement.
But, Juventus may decide to not wait for long as they have already spoken to Atalanta about the possibility of signing Luis Muriel as part of a swap deal involving Moise Kean.
This development certainly comes as a blow for Barcelona in their bid to offload Depay. And the club must try and resolve the situation with the forward at the earliest as Juve may decide to take their business elsewhere.
