just around a lot of players are looking to leave Chelsea by the summer and Azplicueta is just one of those players and this will be a very huge blow to Chelsea if he leaves but yes he is yet to sign a new contract with Chelsea and most of all, there has been increasing links from Barcelona to sign the right back.
Azplicueta amid the issues surrounding Chelsea may be looking to accept the offer and try out a new competition and after all its his home and so there wil not be anything too new to him over there.
No doubt that Azplicueta could be a saving signing for the Catalan side this summer a they are looking to boost up their defensive line with experienced players and the likes of Azplicueta just fits the puzzle.
When asked about his future at the club he tried to brush it aside although there is little or no progress with talks to keep him at Stamford Bridge past this summer but then he just reluctantly said;
“This is not the time or place to talk about the future,” Azpilicueta said, as quoted by Goal.
“If there’s one thing we’ve learned from the pandemic and with Chelsea’s current situation it’s that we have to live the day to day, live the moment. Now is the time to focus on the selection.”
