Amid the uncertainties surrounding Chelsea at the mean time, Abramovich is making a bold move to acquire another European club.
After putting Chelsea up for sale Abramovich has looked for another investment opportunity and this time it is with the Turkish side Goztepe.
According to a report by the Turkish media Fanatik, negotiations are going on between the outgoing Goztepe president Mehmet Sepil and Abramovichs reps have already begun.
Sepil had also recently announced that he would be leaving his roles as the president but would keep hold of his duties until a replacement is found.
Due to the recent developments, their attention for a potential owner has been turned to Abramovich following the recent happenings at Chelsea and that market assessment have been made by both parties.
A face to face meeting is being planned between Abramovich, an intermediary businessman, Sepil and the club executives for the coming days with Sepil holding majority of the clubs shares.
Goztpe has struggled so much lately and also they are almost in their relegation zone in the league as they are only eight points from relegation with only eight games remaining for the end of he season and also with loosing seven games in a row, they are not too good in standing.
