Lukaku finally speaks on winning the player of the year ahead of Ronaldo; Here is what he said.

Romelu Lukaku has spoken on winning the Serie A player of the year 2021/2022 ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo and this is a huge moment for him as the award was given by voting by fellow players.

Romelu Lukaku who has managed 24 goals in the Serie A season before he joined Chelsea said it an achievement that doesn’t always come by everyday.

I became a better player as I played i the same league with Cristiano the Belgian said.

Speaking with AIC, here is what Romelu Lukaku said in full;

“Being ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo is something that doesn’t happen every day. To me, he is one of the best three players in football history. He also brought me to a different level because he does great things.

“I am really happy to be included in the Serie A top XI for last season. I want to thank all those who voted for me and the team that helped me a lot, the coach and his staff. It was the team’s achievement and it’s an honour to be in the top XI,”
