Chelsea FC coach Thomas Tuchel has praised Mendy just ahead of their tie with Lille in the Champions league.
he has been a phenomenal goalkeeper for Chelsea in all their matches since he came into the club and has fast risen to the top of the charts of the club.
It is obvious Tuchel feels the same way about Mendy as the fans and this has led him to heap praises on the Senegalese.
Here is what Tuchel said about Mendy;
“Edou is a high-level goalkeeper with a strong character. He is also very humble. I think everyone at Chelsea, including the fans, wishes him this success because he gives everything for the team. He plays a key role and we are very happy with the way he has evolved,” said Thomas Tuchel as quoted by 13 Football.
“He has been exceptional since I took office at Chelsea. He played a key role, he was strong mentally and on the pitch, he was the key to our best performances.”
Mendy will also be starting for Chelsea this night as they face Lille in the Champions league tie.
