Following the recent sanctions on the Russian billionaire by the UK government, the West London boss has been disqualified by the Premier League as the Chelsea FC boss.
Just after reaching an agreement with the UK government on the bid to sell Chelsea, Abramovich has been disqualified as the director of Chelsea FC director.
Recall that all his assets were frozen by the UK government and also traveling ban placed on him and all this put the future of the club at risk.
The EPL recently released a statement confirming their decision to disqualify the Russian billionairess reg director of the Chelsea FC.
According to the statement;
Following the imposition of sanctions by the UK Government, the Premier League Board has disqualified Roman Abramovich as the director of the Chelsea Football Club.
The UK decision to sanction the Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich was released on Thursday morning by the United Kingdom Government alongside the club releasing the following statement.
By the Virtue of his 100 percent ownership of the Chelsea FC plc and affiliated entities, Chelsea FC would normally be subject to the same sanctions regime as Mr. Abramovich
The sanctions will be reviewed in May and we look forward to hearing the next news.
