Chelsea set to Hold Talks with UK Government over Abramovich sanctions; Details soon.
As per 90Min reports, Chelsea are in going to be in talks with the UK Government over the sanctions imposed on club owner Roman Abramovich.
The club will continue their day to day activities as per the reports but the assets of the Russian Billionaire has been frozen by the UK Government following this crisis.
It was not to long before the sanctions by the British Government came into place and also talks will be held sooner to know what will be next.
Now the clubs board of directors are in for a meeting with the British Government to determine what is the next thing in line;
From the Official website the statement read thus:
“We intend to engage in discussions with the UK Government regarding the scope of the licence.”
“This will include seeking permission for the license to be amended in order to allow the Club to operate as normal as possible. We will also be seeking guidance from the UK Government on the impact of these measures on the Chelsea Foundation and its important work in our communities.
“The Club will update further when it is appropriate to do so.”
