How to play the Fantasy Premier League
Note that the aim of the FPL is to acquire as many points as possible and with this in mind, with your full squad, select a starting XI for each of the game weeks, and they will get points based on their performance in each of the game fixtures.
You have to select from the arrays of formations you will need your teams to play in with at least one Goal keeper, three defenders and one forward selected all at a time.
Also you will need to get arranged your order of substitutes as the game will always automatically substitute a player and replace them with on of the players in your substitute bench.
You will also be required to make a captain selection and also an assistant captain in every game week.
It is worthy to note that the captain of your team will receive twice the amount of points while the assistant captain will be a back up choice in case your original selection doesn’t happen to play, and this means the double point will be given to the assistant Captain.
How are points awarded to players in the Fantasy Premier League?
Well there are three ways which points are awarded to players and they include the following…
- By Goals
- By Assists
- By saves
- By Keeping Clean Sheets
The FPL players can also earn additional points in Fantasy as a reward for a good performance in a match.
Your teams points for the match round or Game week will be scored by your starting XI. But if a starting player does not feature for their club in that round of matches, they point will be scored by the first player on your bench and they will be automatically counted instead.
This is the same process that happens if two or three starting players fail to appear in a match.
An extra point can also be earned by selecting a captain from your starting XI, the Captains points are always double in the game week.
