Here is why Salah did not make the FIFPro Starting XI; Tomas Muller Explains.

It is almost impossible to deny the fact that Mohammed Salah has been phenomenal for Liverpool this season and last season and even the highest goal scorer in the EPL at the time of writing these report but this has not been able to get him a slot in the FIFPro starting XI.

Thomas Muller the Bayern Munich and German Legend has explained why this is so…

According to The Mirror, Muller believes the absence of an international competition for the Egyptian affected his chances.

Here is what Muller said;

It’s always difficult to choose fairly these teams because everyone has slightly different views,” Muller told MBC Masr TV, via Filgoal.

“Mohamed Salah is in great form at the moment and is appreciated by everyone.

“It’s disappointing that he was not chosen in the World XI, and this may be due to the Euros being played last summer.”

Muller’s Bayern Munich teammate Robert Lewandowski, Lionel Messi of PSG and Erling Haaland all made the team.

However the 2014 World Cup winner believes there should have been a place in the team for Mohamed Salah.

“The Euros are of great importance and of course you will find players from Italy [the champions] in the formation,” he continued.

“It’s a combination of individual and collective success. Usually 20 players can be selected and only four or five of them are worthy. But Salah deserved to be in the formation.”
