Ronaldo and Maguire Clash Over Captain Armband; Reports Says.

Reports claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Maguire are in an entanglement over who will retain the Man UTD captaincy, claimed the UK Sun reports.

It is also understood that the interim manager of Man UTD Ralph Rangnick, Maguire and Ronaldo had a conversation about the English defender relinquishing the armband for the rest of the season.

This is not in any bad fate but for the good of Maguire and also the relieve him of the pressure fro fans and also while battling with his own loss of form.

Given these reasons, the former Leicester City player doesn’t want to do this given the fact that he might loose the captaincy permanently if he agreed to this.

The further friction with between Maguire and Ronaldo is brought about by the request made by the interim manager to Ronaldo to help mentor the young Man UTD players which happened to place the now captain Maguire in a sideline.

Ronaldo’s huge influence on Man UTD is said to have undermined Maguire a lot within the dressing room and especially with the young players.
