Eguavoen Assures Super Eagles Will Qualify for World Cup; Confidently.
After how Nigeria super Eagles crashed out of the AFCON, their head coach Eguavoen has came back to assure that the Super Eagles will qualify for the World Cup in Quatar.
According to a report via Complete Sports, Eguavoen believes the Super Eagles have enough quality players to get past Ghana and believes everyone in the team knows the task ahead of them.
“I feel privileged to lead the group. We have two tough games against Ghana next month but I am not too worried because we have a squad that knows it is a mountain that we have to climb.
“We have a good headache to deal with which is a surplus of good players. I want to thank the government and the NFF for all the support during the AFCON; we will need even greater support for the World Cup play-off.”
Ghana will have home advantage first and both legs will be played between March 23 and 29 with the aggregate winners securing a place at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Former Super Eagles player assures of goals in Nigeria/Ghana World Cup Playoffs
Meanwhile, Jonathan Akpoborie who is an ex-international has assured there will be enough goals for the Super Eagles when they tackle Ghana in March’s World Cup playoffs.
According to Daily Post, Akpoborie advised the Super Eagles coaches to select in-form Super Eagles Forwards Victor Osimhen and Emmanuel Dennis for the crucial qualifiers.
Victor Osimhen and Emmanuel Dennis were missing from Nigeria’s AFCON party despite being named in the country’s roaster due to both players not being released by their respective club sides.
